Nashville, TN (July 28, 2023) - Country music singer/songwriter and recording artist Zach Cornell recently released his new EP entitled "Part 1." Click HERE to listen to the five-song compilation!
Track Listing: 1. Stay Awhile 2. What's Done Is Done 3. There's Always Tomorrow 4. Is Anyone Left 5. Drinkin' My Baby Goodbye (Charlie Daniels Band Cover)
“Back in late ’21 and early ’22, I recorded a collection of songs that mean a great deal to me," Zach shares. "Part I includes five of those songs, covering a whole lot of ground. There’s heartache, new love, drinking, wandering, and a whole lot more. I guess each song is a different season we’ve all endured at one point or another, along with a couple that pay homage to my honky tonk heroes. But, the best thing about it is that this EP is just genuine, unapologetic country music, which I don’t really think you can fake. I’ve found my voice as an artist and writer, and I’m excited for folks to finally hear it.”
"Part 1" features three previously released singles, "What's Done Is Done," "There's Always Tomorrow" and "Stay Awhile," which currently has over 170K streams on Spotify.
About Zach Cornell:
Zach Cornell is a Texas troubadour carving out a living with a guitar and a songbook in Nashville, Tennessee. Following in the footsteps of his honky tonk heroes, Zach is playing his part in old-school country’s long overdue comeback.
Cornell comes from a small town in the Texas Panhandle and he’s been using that down-home upbringing to write his own brand of country music ever since. As Zach began to find his own sound and voice as both a writer and artist, he started to feel the pull of Nashville. Together, with his wife, he made the move to Nashville in 2018 to work full-time as a musician and songwriter. When Cornell isn’t on the road, he can be found in Nashville playing local venues across the city and co-writing with local up-and-comers.
Throughout a couple studio sessions at Rising Sun Studios in Old Hickory, Tennessee, Zach recorded a new set of songs that are his strongest yet. “I can’t wait for folks to hear what I’ve been up to. I’ve been playing a few of these songs for two or three years now at live shows, so it’ll be nice for folks who haven’t been to a show to get to hear ‘em.” Zach’s newest EP, titled Part I, includes the first half of the ’21/’22 sessions. The EP is available everywhere July 28.
