Dwight Yoakam with Shooter Jennings & The Werewolves of Los Angeles: An AMERICANAFEST Special Event

Country music icon, 21-time GRAMMY® nominee, multiple GRAMMY® Award winner,

and Americana trailblazer Dwight Yoakam will headline a special kickoff concert at Ascend

Amphitheater in Nashville on Tuesday, September 9, as part of his Cosmic Roundup & Rodeo tour. Presented by AMERICANAFEST, this bill pairs kindred spirits across generations of outlaw and California country.


Shooter Jennings and the Werewolves of Los Angeles will bring a genre-blending set that mixes Jennings’ own catalog with the songs of Warren Zevon, while Ben Haggard, son of country legend Merle Haggard, will deliver a powerful tribute to his father’s legacy alongside his own original work. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Americana Music Foundation.

The Secret Sisters & Maggie Rose with the Nashville Symphony: An AMERICANAFEST Special Event

The third annual collaboration between the Nashville Symphony and AMERICANAFEST brings a night of powerful music to the stage, featuring acclaimed Nashville artist Maggie Rose, country-folk duo The Secret Sisters, and the Nashville Symphony. Rose, a seasoned performer with over 50 Opry appearances and a GRAMMY® nomination for her album No One Gets Out Alive, will take the stage with the Nashville Symphony. She'll perform her signature songs with first-ever full orchestral arrangements, showcasing the epic live sound of her recorded work. The renowned duo The Secret Sisters will showcase their brand-new orchestra show, following a recent premiere with the Alabama Symphony. The evening will culminate in a special collaboration between all artists, creating a unique musical experience that blends Americana roots with symphonic grandeur. This concert is part of the annual AMERICANAFEST festival, offering a diverse lineup of Americana music performances.

24th Annual Americana Music & Awards

The Americana Honors & Awards Show, the marquee event for the Americana Music

Association, returns to the historically cool Ryman Auditorium on September 10, 2025.

Each year the Americana Music Association honors distinguished members of the music

community. Six member-voted awards and several Lifetime Achievement Awards are handed

out while over 2000 artists, music-loving fans and entertainment industry executives look on.


The Honors & Awards have featured many amazing moments over the years. Johnny

Cash and June Carter Cash’s last live performance together was during the award show. Artists such as John Prine with Bonnie Raitt, Robert Plant & His Band of Joy, Dr. John with Dan Auerbach, Rosanne Cash, Stephen Stills, Joan Baez, and The Blind Boys of Alabama have brought our audiences to their feet.
