The Gillis Silo

Blurring the lines between defiant southern rock and traditional country roots, The Gillis Silo boasts a wide range of sonic weaponry and inspired truthful lyrics that are winning over the hearts of devoted “Silo Soldiers”, as frontman, and U.S. Army Veteran, Caleb Paul, calls them.

Since beginning their journey in January of 2014, The Gillis Silo, who gets their name from a bar for enlisted men located on a Louisiana Army National Guard post, has quickly leaped and bounded over local barriers by accepting no substitutes for relentless hard work, professionalism, and dedication to craft. These young men have essentially rewritten the book on cultivating meaningful relationships between musician and business owner, and have built a powerhouse team of driven promoters, production specialists, radio personalities, sponsors and, of course, local supporters that have catapulted them from anonymity to an ever-growing movement currently churning through the south like a category five hurricane.

If their work ethic, regional success, radio play, and rapidly growing fan base do not raise an eye brow, then their ability to work their way on stage with enormously successful artists just might. Since June of 2014, The Gillis Silo has performed with some of today and yesterday’s hottest and most respected country acts like Easton Corbin, Trace Atkins, Eli Young Band, Aaron Lewis, Parmelee, Scotty McCreery, Jana Kramer, Colin Raye, Tracy Byrd, Mark Chesnutt, Richie McDonald of Lonestar, Craig Wayne Boyd, and Thompson Square just to name a few.

When the band was unable to negotiate their way into the big show on their popularity, they have never lacked the confidence or ability to compete for it, and win. In July of 2014, The Gillis Silo earned their way into the nationally exposed Gigg.Com Concert Series where they defeated other established regional artists and nationally recognizable reality television participants and emerged victorious as the Grand Prize Winners. This victory earned them the right to share the stage with Florida Georgia Line at Country Xplosion Festival in Toole, UT that also featured artists such as Toby Keith and Reba McEntire. The Gillis Silo has also earned their way into other exceptionally large festivals such as Gulf Coast Jam in Panama City Beach that featured Carrie Underwood and Blake Shelton, and Bayou Country Super Fest in their hometown that featured Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, and Luke Bryan.

In 2016, The Gillis Silo appears to be an unstoppable force raging in southern Louisiana who with every crash of the cymbal, quake of the bass, sizzling guitar solo, and passionate lyric, demand nothing short of your undivided attention.
