“Sister Hazel took advantage of some forced downtime to reimagine some of their biggest hits, including my personal favorite “All For You,” and treated fans to a cool livestream that delivered a live acoustic set full of songs that are sure to please longtime and new fans alike. Now we get to revisit these reworked versions time and time again with the release of Before The Amplifiers 2.” Todd Jolicoeur, 100% Rock Magazine

Sister Hazel is not afraid to tamper with perfection by offering 16 newly-arranged gems from their outstanding catalogue of amazing music.” Bill Hernandez,
“With their latest album, Before The Amplifiers 2, Sister Hazel revisits some trailblazing fan-favorites and includes album tracks that are never-before-recorded. The addition of a string quartet enhances the project, giving the album a fresh-but-familiar sound.” Brent Thompson, Southern Stages
Platinum-selling, iconic country/rock band, Sister Hazel releases their new album, Before The Amplifiers 2, today. The album is a 16-track collection of rare acoustic performances accompanied by a string quartet. Taste of Country described the new album as, “a structured setlist for a live audience. The new project features a selection of the band’s greatest hits from over the years, as well as a few never-before-recorded songs that fans might only have encountered in live or special settings. The songs come from different eras of the band’s storied career, though all of them are appearing in an entirely new context, presented acoustically and against a string arrangement.” Fans can order the album on CD and vinyl HERE.
Guitarist Ryan Newell recently told The Country Note, “We have played many orchestra shows with big string arrangements and it always blows me away how strings can take songs to a higher emotional level. This record has a quartet of strings, so it is more refined, but I’m excited about the new arrangements and the new peaks and valleys in the songs. These songs have never been presented this way and I love how they landed.”

About Sister Hazel:
Originating from Gainesville, FL, Sister Hazel is comprised of five gifted, seasoned musicians whose well-spring of natural talent has been called “one of the Top 100 Most Influential Independent Performers of the last 15 years” by Performing Songwriter Magazine. Song “All for You,” topped the adult alternative charts during the summer of 1997 and the success propelled their album to platinum status.  Since then, the band has become firmly established not only in rock and alternative music, but now in country with four back-to-back Billboard Top Country Albums Chart entries. They have most recently co-produced a cleverly themed EP compilation series entitled “Elements,” that includes a bonus seventh track that continued throughout the series. Living up to their fan-centered reputation, the band was a pioneer in the themed cruise industry by co-founding “The Rock Boat” and annually hosts events like the “Hazelnut Hang,” and “Camp Hazelnut” that focuses on creating unique experiences and interacting with the fans. Sister Hazel has been equally attentive to connecting with their audience through social media having amassed over a million social followers. In addition to the events and touring, the band also gives back with “Lyrics For Life.” Founded by singer Ken Block, the charity unites musicians and celebrities for concerts and auctions to benefit cancer research and patient-care charities.
