MTN DEW SERVIN’ UP HOME-STATE PRIDE WITH “THE TENNESSEE ORIGINAL OUTPOST”

Tennessee-born beverage transforming Nashville’s Ole Red into green “The Tennessee Original Outpost” celebrating fans, makers and artists from across the state; Musical line-up led by Tennessee-based country duo LOCASH and more

1940 MTN DEW was born out of an act of refreshment rebellion and since then, has kept the rebel charge alive for fans across the country. Nearly 80 years later, MTN DEW is going back to its roots to celebrate with the DEW Nation, and the dynamic, trail-blazin’ makers and artists that call Tennessee home.  MTN DEW will turn Nashville destination Ole Red, DEW-green and feature epic DEW X “Tennessee Original” experiences and live performances.  In the days leading up to the Oct. 22 event, MTN DEW will hit the road, popping up at select Food City locations across the state, where fans who locate LOCASH-autographed DEW cans throughout the store, will win an all-expenses paid trip to “The Tennessee Original Outpost.”

“MTN DEW has such a rich history in Tennessee and we are excited to not only celebrate that heritage but also give DEW Nation fans living there, a day dedicated to their great home state,” Chauncey Hamlett, Vice President of Marketing South Division, Mountain Dew said. “We have so much fun evolving and introducing new DEW options but at the end of the day, we wouldn’t be here without our Tennessee original and we cannot wait to celebrate with the fans.”

“The Tennessee Original Outpost” will be live on October 22 from 11a.m. – 9p.m. CT.  Throughout the celebration, fans can get their hands on specialty items like DEW-branded leather goods, mural painting with East Side Murals and enjoy a line-up of TN-born or bred live musical acts, including country duo LOCASH, Matt Rogers, Garrett Speer and Casee Allen.  Fans will also get to try out specialty DEW cocktails.

Starting on October 12, three fans at each Food City stop across Tennessee will win a trip to MTN DEW’s “The Tennessee Original Outpost” by locating LOCASH-autographed DEW cans throughout the respective stores.  At each pop-up celebration, fans will also get a chance to sample the latest offerings from MTN DEW and win cool prizes.
