Memphis Food & Wine Festival Announces Date, Chefs and Wineries

FedEx Is Presenting Sponsor
October 12, 2019 | 6-10 pm | The Live Garden at Memphis Botanic Garden

Building on the success of the 2017 event, the Memphis Food and Wine Festival is back in 2019 and bigger than ever. More than 40 chefs and nearly 40 wineries have jumped on board to dazzle festival goers on October 12, 2019 from 6–10 p.m. in support of FedExFamilyHouse — a home-away-from home for out-of-town families with children receiving treatment at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.

With FedEx as the presenting sponsor, MFWF is bringing renowned chefs from around the world to Memphis to provide a tasting treat for festival-goers. Top Memphis chefs, including José Gutierrez (River Oaks), Wally Joe (Acre), the Memphis Restaurant Association Restaurateur of the Year Patrick Reilly (The Majestic Grille), Konrad Spitzbart (The Peabody), and Zach Nicholson (Lucky Cat), will showcase their culinary creativity alongside visiting food superstars including Maitre Cuisiner de France Gérard Bertholon, Tory McPhail of Commander’s Palace in New Orleans, Executive Chef at The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman Frederic Morineau, Executive Chef and Director of Culinary at Sea Island Resort on the coast of Georgia, Jonathan Jerusalmy, and a festival favorite, Deb Paquette from Etch and Etc. in Nashville.

While enjoying The Live Garden space at Memphis Botanic Garden, festival attendees will be able to sample more than 150 wines from acclaimed vintners and wineries and take full advantage of the expert guidance of certified sommeliers and wine makers.
The best of Memphis music will round out the experience for attendees. Ghost Town Blues Band, Motel Mirrors featuring Amy LaVere and John Paul Keith, and Brian “Breeze” Cayolle will provide the bluesy, soulful sound — that can only be found in Memphis — for an exciting evening under the stars.
“This festival is a foodie’s dream – don’t eat for a week before going! The organization of the event, culinary talent and wines on display rival any food festival I have ever had the pleasure of visiting,” says Gary Selesner, President, Caesars Palace
