About Trent Tomlinson
After numerous deals cut short due to labels that went bankrupt or were being taken over, Trent Tomlinson landed a songwriting deal with Cal IV Entertainment. Some of his songs were recorded by Emerson Drive and Blue County on their respective debut albums. Tomlinsonâ€™s debut single, â€œDrunker Than Me,â€ was released in late 2005, followed by his album Country Is My Rock. Two additional singles were also released from the album: â€œOne Wing in the Fireâ€ and â€œJust Might Have Her Radio On.â€ Tomlinson also co-wrote the tracks â€œMissing Missouriâ€ on Sara Evansâ€™ 2005 album Real Fine Place and â€œWhy Canâ€™t I Leave Her Aloneâ€ on George Straitâ€™s 2006 album It Just Comes Natural. In 2008, Tomlinson was the second artist signed to Lyric Streetâ€™s subsidiary label, Carolwood Records. His fourth single, â€œThatâ€™s How It Still Oughta Be,â€ made its chart debut in January 2009.
